Namaste ' | I believe in the therapeutic benefits of the Iyengar style. These benefits include improved posture, muscle strengthening, and the release of stress. In my classes, you can expect a refreshing experience as you develop both your Hatha yoga skills, and your inner well being. The caterpillar is the routine of daily life forgetting to care about spirit. The coccoon is when you turn your awareness inward and connect with your soul. The butterfly eventually emerges, feeling whole and free, mind, body and soul in balance. ~Wendy Davis |

| | My name is Wendy Davis I bring balance to my class by increasing awareness of the mind/body connection. I am a registered nurse and have been a fitness instructor for 30 years. For the past ten years I have focused on yoga, believing in the therapeutic benefits of the Iyengar style. Benefits include improved posture, muscle strengthening, and relief of stress. My classes are easy to follow for individuals new to yoga, but also provide enough challenge and information for intermediate students to further their training. I use my medical background to educate and protect my students regarding the specific benefits and risks involved with each yoga asana. I provide individualized guidance with attention given to specific physical and health challenges. In my classes you can expect a refreshing experience as you develop both your Hatha skills, and your inner well being.

Tip
When is the best time to practice yoga? In general, yoga practice is recommended in the morning and evening. A morning yoga session can be quite active and invigorating, to motivate you for a productive day. An evening practice relieves stress, calms the mind and body for effective and regenerative sleep. But anytime is yoga time, breathe deeply and stretch! |
